Copper Basin News Hayden, Az 04/21/2010 Reynaldo L. Flores, 81, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010, at his home in Dudleyville. He was born in Hayden on Jan. 7, 1929. Reynaldo served in the United States Air Force during World War II and worked for Asarco for 40 years before retiring. Reynaldo could fix anything in the house and the yard and was self-taught. He built his own home and other houses in the Dudleyville neighborhood. He was willing to share his knowledge and taught many others his various skills. He enjoyed sports and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball. Survivors include his wife, Julia S. Flores; daughters, Ana (Billy) Meza of Dudleyville and Viola Cordova of Tucson; sons, Rey Flores of Queen Creek and Jimmy (Rosalie) Garcia of Winkelman; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mercedes and Melquides Esparza. Reynaldo touched the hearts of many people and his memory will last in the hearts of those who knew him forever. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The visitation will be held Saturday, April 24, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hayden with Father Dale Brunson reciting the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial directly after. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden.
