PARKER, Henry, Jr.

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Thursday, April 22, 2010 Henry Parker Jr., 48, died April 19, 2010, in Phoenix. He was born Sept. 5, 1961, in Winslow. He was a very generous person always willing to donate his time. He had a catering service, was a rancher and owner of livestock and a rug weaver. He had a traditional knowledge of his culture in ceremonies and preparation of traditional foods. Mr. Parker is survived by his parents, Henry Parker Sr. and Jennie Parker; brothers James Parker of Las Vegas, Lorenzo Parker of Phoenix, and Homer Lee Parker of Phoenix; sisters Verna Bia of Chinle, and Dorothy Parker of Dilkon. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Agnes Shorty. Funeral services will be today at 10 a.m. (DST), at the Dilkon Church of the Nazarene. Interment to follow in Indian Wells Cemetery. Greer's Mortuary of Winslow is handling the arrangements.
