The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 08/27/2004 Linda Diane Diedrich, 59, is now with her beloved husband Stephen, mother Verna and father Peter Billington. Linda died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at the RTA Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Lakeside. Her generous and loving spirit blessed her with many friends who will miss her dearly. Her family will miss her warmth, generosity, compassion and ever-present smile. Linda knew no limits. She loved and embraced each and everyone she met in her lifetime. Linda's sense of humor, willingness to engage in spirited political debates, and hearty laughter will also be missed by all who loved and knew her. Her family would like to recognize her for the special contribution she made to the cities of Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside during the Rodeo/Chediski fires. The Governor of Arizona recognized Linda with an award honoring the contributions she made to her community during the fires. Her memory will be cherished forever by family and friends. Linda is survived by her four children, Lynett, Carl, Paul and Barbara; six grandchildren, Stephen and Liam Gillen, Colbie and Cooper Diedrich, Jonah Geiger, and Nate Dieterich; sister Pamela and Richard Logowski; niece Richelle Donnelly; and nephew Peter Lugowski. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Linda Diedrich Foundation, P.O. box 684249, Austin, TX 78768, for distribursement for brain tumor and cancer research as well as for any unpaid expenses.
