The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 19, 2000, p. A16 Paul A. Austin of Congress died Jan. 14, 2000 at the Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz. He was 84. Mr. Austin was born March 18, 1915 in Columbus, Ohio, and had lived in Arizona for 63 years. He was a powerhouse operator and a ham radio operator W7RSV for many years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his wife Helen, who was the mother of his five children, and his second wife Jewel and daughter JoAnn Crawford. He resided in Congress after his retirement in 1977. Survivors include his daughters Mary Denton and Pat Kelly; sons Thomas Austin and Paul Austin, Jr.; sister Dorothy Burge; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral services was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 18 at the Wickenburg Cemetery, following visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p. m. Monday, Jan 17 at the Wickenburg funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Duane Middleton officiated. Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
