The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 2 2000, p. A18 Harold Bischoff of Wickenburg died Jan 29, 2000 in Wickenburg. He was 79. Mr. Bischoff was born Dec. 15, 1920 in Indianapolis, Ind., and had lived in Arizona for 20 years. He moved to Chinle, Ariz., in 1938 from Indianapolis at the age of 17 and worked at the Franciscan Mission. In 1942, he married Alice Garcia of Chile and then moved to Gallup, N. M., where he founded the K & B Company. He lived in Galluo for 38 years until he retired and moved to Wickenburg, in 1980. Mr. Bischoff was a member of the Serra Club and Sacred heart Cathedral Parish in Galluo, N. M., for 38 years. He was a board member of the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg and a member of St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg. Survivors include his wife Alice 9Garcia) Bischoff; daughters Anita Dossey of Houston, Texas, Theresa Murry and Loretta Bischoff, both of Scottsdale, Georgiana Thomas of Los Angeles, and Henrietta Gilmore of Cincinnati, Ohio; sons Anselm Bischoff of Scottsdale, Gerald Bischoff of Albuquerque, N. M., and Edward Bischoff, Thomas Bischoff and David Bischoff, all of Gallup; 30 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation was held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg, which was followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Thursday (Frb.3) at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Gallup, with Father John Vogt officiating. The family of Harold Bischoff would like to express their thanks in the following gentlemen for their caring support as pallbearers and friends: Ken Schoen, Anthony Spina, Bob Butler, John Guest, harry Laubenthal and Bill Mallendine. Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers in Mr. Bischoff’s name to the Cathedral Catholic School, 405 Park Ave. Gallup, NM. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
