The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 23, 2000, p. A18 Julia Eaton Moore-Tietjens of Glendale, died Feb. 18 at Beatitudes Campus of Care in Phoenix. She was 93. Mrs. Moore-Tietjens was born Feb. 16, 1907 in Syracuse, N. Y. She had lived in Arizona for the past 36 years. She graduated from Cortland State Teacher’s College in Cortland, N. Y., and taught at elementary schools in Rome, N. Y. and Syracuse. Following her marriage to Lewis F. “Lew” Moore in 1947, she lived in Bound Brook, N. J. In 1964 the couple moved to Wickenburg, where Lew died in 1971. Julia married William M. “Bill” Tietjens in 1983. Julia and Bill moved to the Beatitudes Campus of Care in 1981. Bill died there in 1996. Julia will long be remembered by family and friends for her caring ways and optimistic outlook on life. She was a member of the Church of the Beatitudes. Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at Beatitude Campus of care, 1616 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix. Burial will be in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
