The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 8, 2000, p. A3 Frances Burt of Wickenburg, died March 2 in Scottsdale. She was 83. Mrs. Burt was born Nov. 27, 1916 in Lumberton, N.C. She had lived in Arizona for the past 49 years. Mrs. Burt was born and raised in Lumberton, N.C., moving to Arizona in 1951. She lived near Buckeye and Tonopah before relocating to Scottsdale in 1977. For the past seven years she lived in Wickenburg. She is survived by three daughters, Charlene Brungs of Scottsdale, Cleo Johnson of Apache Junction and Betty Ropp of Auburn, Mich.; a son, James Burt of Wickenburg; a brother, George Collins of Lumberton; 14 grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a stepdaughter, hazel Ballard, of Riverside, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled from 12:30-2 p.m. Friday March 10 at Frey Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Davidson of All Saints Episcopal Church in Phoenix will officiate. Contributions may be made in honor of Frances Burt to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, Ariz. 85014-5656.
