Kenneth E.
Mesa-Kenneth E. Shaffer, 77, a Navy Seabee Veteran of World War II who owned the Submersible Pump Co. in Phoenix for 12 years until retiring in 1959, died Sept. 4, 1978, in Mesa Lutheran Hospital.
Mr. Shaffer, 1440 W. Fifth Place, was member of Silver Trowel Masonic Lodge 29, El Zaribah Shrine, Scottish Rite Greeters, Horseless Carriage Club, and Antique Automobile Club of America. He came to Phoenix in 1925 from Carnegie, Pa.
Survivors include his wife, Lila; daughter, Betty Prince; a sister; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Masonic services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Sunset Chapel, 301 W. Camelback, Phoenix,
