Published in The Arizona Republic 3 Nov 1964 Meyer Schechter, 65 of Phoenix contractor who came here four years ago from Chicago, died yesterday at his home at 6817 N. 17th Ave. He was a native of Russia. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Beth El Chapel at Beth El Cemetery. Rabbi Moshe Tutnsuer and Cantor Raphael Sandlow of the Beth El Congreatation will officiate. He is survived by his wife, Sophie; a son, Neal H. of Phoenix;two daughters, Mrs. Eayne Robenoff of Phoenix, and Mrs. Sylvia B. Freldman of Miami, Fla.; a brother, Morrie Schecther of Los Angeles; his father, Sam Schechter of Desert Hot Springs, Calif; and six grandchildren.
