BUCKEYE-Services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Major, 76, who operated a pharmacy here with her husband 26 years, will be a 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church of Buckeye.
The Revs. Walter Merrick and Roy McGuffy will officiate.
Mrs. Major, who had been ill for the past 16 years, died yesterday in her home at 202 Jackson St.
She and her husband, William, operated Major' Pharmacy here from 1919 until 1945.
Mrs. Major, born in Manasquan, N.J., came to Arizona in 1912. She lived in Phoenix, and Wickenburg before moving here in 1919.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Frank and Watson, both of Phoenix, and William Jr. of Morenci; three daughters, Mrs. Mae Davis of Buckeye, and Mrs. Nellie Bird and Mrs. Marion Salem, both of San Jose, Calif.; a brother and three sisters all out of state, and 12 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Lewis B. Hazelton Cemetery.
