FLETCHER, Anne Mary

Anne Mary Fletcher, 70, of Chandler, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2006. As a young woman Anne enlisted in the Air Force and was on of the first groups of WAF. She was instrumental in opening the first Head Start in Chandler, she enjoyed reading and is fondly referred to as the family prayer warrior and golf widow. Her main focus was always her family and she was a devoted wife and mother. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Johnnie; her children Carole Fletcher, Edward (Kathy)Fletcher, Denise Johnson, Daniel (Beverly)Fletcher, Renee (Dan) Ayala, Paul (Penny) Fletcher, and Jennifer (Bill) Lucero; her mother Veronica Mannix;5 sisters and 3 brothers; 53 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Anne is preceded in death by her father and her son John (Jaylyn)Fletcher. Services will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary with visitation held at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014 in memory of Anne.
