Published in The West Valley News 2 Apr 2010 Katherine E. Kelley, 62, of Avondale died March 29, 2010. Mrs. Kelley was born June 28, 1947, in Lowell, Mass., to John and Margaret Morrison. She graduated from Lowell High School and received a nursing degree at Holy Ghost Hospital in Cambridge, Mass. She married Robert Kelley on March 12, 1971. She moved to Arizona in 1993. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Avondale. She is survived by her husband, Robert; three daughters, Colleen of Chelsmford, Mass., Erin of Grapevine, Texas, and Megan of Phoenix; one sister, Pat Repine of Glendale; one brother, Michael Morrison of Highland, Calif.; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. April 7 at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road in Goodyear. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. April 8 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Road in Avondale. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
