The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 21, 2000, p. A16 James L. Emett of Circle City, passed away June 14 in Sun City following a brief illness. He was 66. Mr. Emett was born in 1933 in St. George, Utah. He attended local schools there before enlisting in the Army in 1955. He worked for the FAA, Field Maintenance Division, for 20 years until his retirement. Jim enjoyed traveling and following the seasons, and hiking the desert areas of Wickenburg and mountains of Overgaard, Ariz. He is survived by his wife, Laura Emett; brother and sister-in-law Harvey and Valenda Emett of Yacolt, Wash,; sister and brother-in-law Donna and Keven Christenson of Fontana, Calif.; children James Emett of Grantsville, Utah, Bryon and Bill Emett of Gresham, ore., Dennis Emett of Bridgeport, Texas, Sheri Lozier and Nathan Hockett of Kalma, Wash., Treasa Simoneau of Atascadero, Calif., and Sandy Englent and Mark Hockett of California; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. At his request, no services were held.
