Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, April 29, 1949 BARNETT JOHNSON SUCCUMBS IN PHX Barnett Johnson, 63-years-old retired farmer formerly of Burley, Idaho, passed away at a Phx hospital Tuesday morning. He had suffered from arthritis for the past 17 years and in seeking relief from the affliction moved here with Mrs Johnson and two of their children, Erma and Earl, last August. They purchased the J. P. Hendrix home on First street where they established their home. Mr Johnson was taken to Phx a week ago and several days later was removed to the hospital where he died. Mrs Johnson and children left here Thursday morning for Burley where services and burial will be held Monday. Other survivors include three sons, Raymond, Orville and Charles of Burley. Also three daughters, Eva Maria, who is enroute to Africa as a missionary of the Christian church; Fay, a missionary in Venzuela, who will fly to Burley, and Anna of Dallas, Ore. Mrs Johnson with Erma and Earl will return to their home here in the near future.
