JONES, Edwin Grant

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 09/14/2004 Edwin Grant Jones, 67, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004 at the RTA Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Lakeside. He was born in Temple, Texas Nov. 18, 1936 to Claude and Betty Jones, where he grew up and attended school. Edwin moved to Arizona in his adolescence and began working for the City of Phoenix. He initially worked for the Road Maintenance Department. He retired Dec. of 1999 as a supervisor after 40 years of service. Edwin is survived by his wife, Mary Jones of Snowflake ; daughters, Betty Harris of Austin, Texas, Patico Owens of Wilmington, Delaware, Arlene Ward, Betty Jones, Marshiela Heckman, Myrna Jones, Edwina Jones, Michelle Finley, Debbie Grant, Connie Arroyo, Angie Contreras, Irene Garcia, all of Phoenix; sons, Edwin Jones, Jr. of Phoenix, Ray Morales of Snowflake, Freddie Douglas Jones of Colorado, Donald Johnson of Glendale; sister Claudia Daley of Phoenix; brothers, Henry Jones of Phoenix, Ray Jones of Chicago Illinois; 18 grandchildren.
