Julian E. (Tom)
Julian E. "Tom" Nance, died December 4, 2002 in Sedona, Arizona, at the age of 80. Tom was born October 25, 1922, in a company house on oil lease "24" near Healton, Oklahoma.
He grew up in Houston, Texas, and attended SMU and UT. He served the USA as a fighter pilot with the Marines during WWII and later in Korea. He moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1955. Tom retired in 1989 from ownership and CEO of Southwest Ink, Inc. and Arizona Publishers and Printers Supply, both located in Phoenix.
Tom is survived by his wife, Dorothy, her daughters Donna Laws, Diane Laws, and grandson JP, all of Sedona, and brother Ken Nance and wife Lois of Buchanan Dam, Texas. Other survivors include a daughter Kelly Nance Heller, and three grandchildren of CA. and son Kevin Scott Nance of New Hampshire. Also surviving are two stepsisters, one stepbrother and several cousins. Preceding Tom in death was his wife Pat of Phoenix and his mother Audie Voss.
No service is planned. Tom asked that his ashes be scattered in Puget Sound at Steamboat Island, WA, the summer home he enjoyed so much.
