Vincent Gene Cowley, 66, Chandler, AZ died Dec 23, 2002 at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long battle with Polycystic Kidney & Liver Disease.
He was born March 16, 1936 in Ambrose, ND to the late Charles Vincent & Borghild (Eide) Cowley and graduated from Ambrose High School in 1954.
He was employed by the Soo Line Railroad & developed a life-long love for trains.
On Oct. 9, 1959 he married Gloria B. Sveen & lived in Minot, ND. He taught elementary school from 1954 to 1962 while earning a bachelor's degree in education. He graduated from Minot State University in 1963. He and his wife lived on a farm in the Minot area from 1964 until 1988 when they moved to Phoenix and worked as a management team for Motel 6.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and was active in community service through the Amer. Heart Assn., Toastmasters, & the PKD Foundation & was a volunteer for the Burlington Fire Dept.
Survived by his wife: Gloria; daughter, Desiree, (Rand) Wallace, Portland, OR.; son, Michael, (Teri), Cowley, Minot, ND.; grandson: Wyatt Loren; sister, Yvonne (Del) Gorecki, and was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Keller.
Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m., June 21, 2003 Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. Arrangements handled by Bueler Mortuary.
