WAJDA, Stanley (Lefty)


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Wednesday, April 28, 2010 Stanley "Lefty" Wajda, 75, formerly of Flagstaff, died April 22, 2010. He was born Aug. 10, 1934, in Savannah, Ill., to Stanley and Carmella (Cravatta) Wajda. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, was a volunteer fireman, a member of a barbershop quartet, and retired from General Motors. Mr. Wajda is survived by his children, Regina Johnson, Valerie Langin, Heidi Shafiyoon, Steven Wajda, Samuel Wajda and Scott Wajda; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn Wajda, and his parents. In celebration of Mr. Wajda's life, there will be a get together with family and friends Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the home of Mike and Valerie Langin, 2499 N. Sweetclover Way, in Flagstaff. A memorial service will be May 8 at St. Ann's Church in Bellevue, Mich.
