OWENS, Kira Ann

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 09/17/2004 Kira Ann Owens,19, died Sept. 10, 2004 near Moab, Utah. Kira was born in Show Low and lived in Taylor most of her life. She attended elementary school mostly in Taylor and Snowflake. She graduated from Snowflake High School in May 2004. In school she was very involved in Theater, Dance and Drama. She was a member of the Madrigals and she also played Soccer. She was also a dance instructor at the Dance Academy in Snowflake. She was a member of the Taylor 4th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was active in the Young Women's program. She was engaged to be married to Jarom Hatch Sept. 24th in the Snowflake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be deeply missed by all. Kira is survived by her fiancé, Jarom Hatch of Taylor, her parents, Dalton and Susette Owens of Taylor; one brother, Jarom Dustin Owens of Taylor and 2 sisters, Collette Owens and Jessica Kayla Owens both of Taylor; her grandparents, Dalton Owens of Safford, Wayne and Peggy Watkins of Heber and Lynn and Elaine Ellsworth of Snowflake. Funeral services will be held at noon Sat. Sept. 18 at the Taylor Stake Center, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. A memorial fund has been established at the Wells Fargo Bank in Snowflake in the name of "Lamar and Robin Willis, Special Owens Account" (928/536-4311).
