The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 12, 2000, p. A6 Hilmer W. Wilson of Wickenburg, died July 5 in Wickenburg. He was 80. Mr. Wilson was born Nov. 9, 1919 in New York, N.Y. He had lived in Arizona for the past 44 years. He was the son of Otto Denward Wilson and Hilda Meinhardt Wilson, and was one of four boys in the family. He graduated from Pace University with a degree in accounting. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater, under famed Gen. George S. Patton. Mr. Wilson worked for Allied Signal in Phoenix for 24 years, before moving to Wickenburg in 1980. He was a member of the VFW, and was an elder in the Presbyterian Church for 50 years, serving in many capacities. At the time of his death he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Martha Boles Wilson; son John Denward Wilson and daughter-in-law Kristine K. Klaiber of Wick; a brother, Robert O. Wilson of Camp Verde; Robert O. Wilson of Camp Verde; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were Tuesday, Jul 11 at the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg, Pastor James Longstreet officiated. Interment will be Thursday, July 13 at 10:30 at Paradise Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lysle Riley Scholarship Fund at the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg, or the Sun Health Hospice, 12740 Plaza Del Rio Blvd. Peoria, Ariz. 85381 Frey Funeral Home was in charge of all charge of all arrangements.
