The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 2, 2000, p. A8 Helen A. Baker of Wickenburg, died July 7 in Wickenburg. She was 89. Mrs. Baker was born Aug. 28, 1910 in Peru, Ind. She had lived in Arizona for the past 18 years. Helen was one of 10 children in her family. She relocated to Chicago, where she married E. W. Baker, and the couple lived there for 53 years. Helen moved to Wickenburg in September 1981. She was very active at the Wise Cowl Senior Center, where she was one of their hostesses. She was an outstanding person, and will be greatly missed by everyone there. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg. Survivors include her daughters Kathleen Galus of Laughlin, Nev., and Carole Davidson-Datema of Florida; grandchildren Tim Galus of Wickenburg, Dawn Glascott of Chicago, Tim Davidson of Indiana, Kelli Fazekas of Indian, Michael Davidson of Indiana, and Shannon Davidson of Indiana; 10 great-grandchildren, including Erica, Jonathon and Kayla Galus of Wickenburg; brother Harley Schmidt of Peru, Ind.; and niece Marilyn Burke of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. W. Baker, on July 7, 1991. Services are scheduled Sunday, Aug. 6 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Longstreet will officiate. Burial will follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association-Greater Phoenix Chapter, 2323 S. Hardy Drive, Tempe, Ariz. 85282.
