Tress Aden Key, 86, died Sept. 14, 2004 in Pinedale.
Tress was born in Gomez, Texas where he attended school and graduated from Gomez Community School in 1935. Following school he met and married, Syble Loree Rodgers and then he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served during WWII. Following his military service he returned to Terry Co., Texas and worked on his farm.
In 1952 he moved to Brownfield, Texas and began working as a bookkeeper for a steel machine shop. In 1964 they moved to Ruidoso, New Mexico where he worked as a milkman. His family moved to Phoenix in 1967 where he worked in the family lawn maintenance business. While in Phoenix they built their home in Pinedale and retired there in 1979.
He is survived by one son, Randy (Sharon) Tress of Phoenix; three daughters, Loree (Leon) Crabb of Farmington, New Mexico, Connie Bettis of Springfield, Missouri, and Vicki Key of Pinedale; one brother, Sam (Doretha) Key of Brownfield, Texas; one sister, Geraldine Edwards of Midland, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years in 1991 and his daughter, Willean Donaldson in 1994.
