WING, Malin Hobart *

Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Thursday, April 29, 2010 Malin Hobart Wing, 101, of Sedona passed away April 9, 2010. Malin was born July 25, 1908 in Vicksburg, Michigan to the late Hobart and Damaris (Wolcott) Wing. Malin met his sweetheart, Beatrice at the Aragon Ball Room in Chicago. He enjoyed his happy career with Sperry Rand Corporation as a Library Specialist. He was an avid collector of Dixieland music. He was past president of the Kiwanis Club of Sedona and was given a merit award for outstanding service. He was also past president of the Palos Verdes Breakfast Club from 1957 through 1958. He was also active with the Sedona Bridge Club. Malin is preceded in death by his loving wife of 75 years, Beatrice Wing. He is survived by his son, Philip Wing of Cottonwood, four nieces, and one nephew. Private family services will be held.
