Janice Jenkins was born to Edson and Mildred Johnsrud in Aberdeen, S.D., on May 5, 1954. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on April 26, 2010.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Mark, who was the love of her life. Janice is also survived by her sister Joyce Buchberger (Dennis), and numerous nieces and nephews with whom she was extremely close. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Justin Lucas.
Janice was the first person to be licensed in MRI in the state of Arizona. She worked for the Yavapai Regional Medical Center for the last 12 years. In addition to enjoying her work, Janice enjoyed cooking, motorcycle riding, camping and gardening.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation for family and friends will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz., with a Celebration of Life service in honor of Janice at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
