Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona March 22, 1973 Mrs. Anna Heck Israel, 92, mother of Mrs. Harold P. Braman of Country Club Park, died March 13 at Community Hospital. Funeral services and burial will be in Ohio. Mrs. Israel, twice widowed came from a pioneer family in Eastern Ohio. She was the daughter of Frank and Edith Witacre, born in 1880 near Salem. She was married 49 years until his death, to Dr. Stanton Heck, nationally prominent physician and X-ray expert, who was Mrs. Braman’s father. Some years after Dr. Heck’s death, she married Frederick W. Israel, a manufacturer of Alliance, O., and they resided in Damascus a suburb, until his death in 1966. Both husbands were of Pennsylvania Dutch ancestry. Active most of her life in civic and charitable affairs, Mrs. Israel gained additional fame as the author of the first city ordinance in Ohio banning the sale of fireworks when she was a member for two terms of Salem city Council, she was also prominent in the Red Cross and the Republican Party in Ohio.
