Ronald Edson Metz died April 22, 2010, in Mesa. He was born Dec. 22, 1939, in Los Angeles County, Calif. Ron served his country in the U.S. Air Force. 
     
He is survived by his spouse, Sandie; three children Luke, Jessica and Michael; five grandchildren Nicholas, Andrew, Rachel, Daniel and Tyler and two brothers Raymond and Rexford.
     
He was preceded in death by his parents Lin and Mildred Metz.
     
Memorial services will be held Saturday at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Linden starting at 10:30 a.m.
