BEUKEMA, Kenneth Wayne


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 04/30/2010 Kenneth Wayne Beukema, 70, died at his home after a two-year battle with cancer. Formerly from Tucson, Ken was born in Grand Rapids, Mich. April 21, 1939, to the late Clifford and Ardith (Cullers) Beukema. After high school, Ken was employed and retired from Hughes aircraft after 37 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during that time. He was a NASCAR fan, fisherman, friend to many and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Rita of Taylor; two sons Kenny (Catalina, Ivan and Kenneth) of Tucson and Jim (Devona, Melsa and Logan) of Gilbert; wannabe son Michael Lovingood of Taylor and two brothers Norman Beukema and Robert Romans. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Hester. A celebration of his life was held April 24, at the home of Jerry and Sylvia Kitchens, 2767 N.
