LAWSON, Violet

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona April 19, 1973 Violet Walker Lawson died April 9 in the Miami Inspiration Hospital, Miami, Ariz. Born in Safford March 24, 1917 she came to Wickenburg with her family in about 1921. She lived here until her senior year at WHS. She was an active member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband Carl; three daughters Mrs. Sharon Deffenbaugh, Superior; Mrs. Cassie Price, and Mrs. Linda Shirley; her mother, Mrs. Francis Walker of Wickenburg; four sisters, Mrs. Thelma Vensel, Mesa; Mrs. Irene Nord, Whittier, Calif.; Mrs. Cassie George and Mrs. Ora Gray of Wickenburg. Seven grandchildren also survive. Services were held at the Church of Christ in Miami Thursday with burial in the Miami Cemetery.
