Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 3, 1973 Mike Magnifico – Famed for his role in the establishment of Aspen, Colorado, as a skiing resort and where the longest of the runs is known as Manifico Run, Mike Magnifico, a resident of Wickenburg a number of years following his retirement, died April 10 in Boswell Memorial Hospital, Sun City. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 o’clock Thursday morning at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Rosary was at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home, burial will be in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Magnifico was born in Italy. He was a 35 year member of Lions International, achieving the title of “Monarch” following his 25th year of membership. He is survived by his wife Maggie; a son Frank of Arlington Heights, Ill., and three grandchildren.
