Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona July 26, 1973 Funeral services for Gene J. Bowers were held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home last Friday at 10 a.m. Mr. Bowers died in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix July 17 of injuries received in a minor vehicle accident here, July 12. Mr. Bowers was born April 16, 1901, in Michigan. He came to Wickenburg six years ago. He had been a farmer and was known for his love of horses. He is survived by his wife Viola May, and five daughters; Mrs. Phillis Nichols, Mrs. Marian King, Mrs. Roberta Cook, and Mrs. Audrey Brogan, all out of state.
