RIGGAN, Daniel Elgin

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona August 9, 1973, page 18 Daniel Elgin Riggan died at his home in Tempe Sunday. Born in Taylor County, Texas, February 3, 1909 Mr. Riggan had owned farms in Texas and Oklahoma before coming to Wickenburg in 1954. After living here for 12 he moved to Tempe where he was associated with the Tempe Elementary School District. Following his retirement he was active as an Amway Distributor. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Big Springs, Texas. He is survived by his wife Lena V.; five children, L.D. Riggon, Daniel Wayne Riggon, Mrs. Mary Beth Nuneviller, Mrs. Shirley Jean Hodges, all of Phoenix area, and Mrs. Doris Marie Roush of Las Vegas. Also surviving are five brothers, three sisters, all of Texas, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Chimes Mortuary, 7954 N. 59th Ave., Glendale, Arizona. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
