Guant The first manager of the Valley National Bank in Wickenburg, Homan E. “Nick” Guan, 71, died Saturday in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. Guant was a charter member and long-time treasurer of the Desert Caballeros of Wickenburg. He serviced as “Boss” of the Wickenburg Round-up Club, now the Chamber of Commerce and was active in the Rotary, Shriners and civic organizations. Mr. Guant was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He managed the Wickenburg Valley Bank in 1934 and moved to Phoenix 17 years ago. He retired in 1960 from the Valley Bank and was affiliated with other banking organizations in Phoenix until 1971. Services were held Tuesday in Phoenix with burial in Green Acres memorial Garden. Survivors include his wife, the former Fay Billingsley of Wickenburg who taught here in the elementary school for a number of years.
