Russell Hires of Wickenburg, formerly of Plainfield, New Jersey died in Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix on Saturday, March 16, 1974 at age 74. He was a graduate of Temple University and Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia, Pa. he was with the American Re-Insurance Company of New York for 42 years and retired as assistant Vice President in 1964. He was past president of the Plainfield Lions Club. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bernice L. of Wickenburg, and three daughters; Michele B. Hires of Los Angeles, Mrs. Doris Berman of North Plainfield, new Jersey and Mrs. Joyce Farrell of Scituate, Mass. Also by three grandchildren. Services in the mortuary at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 20, 1974 were conducted by Rev. W. Howard Blazer.
