Grijalva was held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home March 24 with Mass held Sunday at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church. Burial followed in Garcia Cemetery. Mrs. Grijalva died at the home of her daughter March 22. Born June 13, 1887, in Phoenix, Mrs. Grijalva moved to Wickenburg in 1892. She remembered, as small child, seeing Apache Indians camped along the Hassayampa River. Her mother would give them flour, salt, coffee and other items and they in turn would bring her deer meat and the fruit of the Saguaro cactus. Mrs. Grijalva lived in the state all but 16 years which she spent in California. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Conception Martinez of Wickenburg, Mrs. Isabel Cordova, Wickenburg, and Mrs. Teddy Wilder, Las Vegas; three sons, Marcello Aros, Wickenburg, Joe Aros, Wickenburg and Pete Grijalva of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
