R. L. CROSTHWAIT
Richard L. Crosthwait, 61, of Wickenburg, died March 25 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Phoenix.
Services were held at Whitney and Murphy Funeral Home in Muleshoe, Texas, Wednesday, March 27 at 4 p.m.
Born in Glendale, California, he was taken as a child to San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Crosthwait had attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and was an engineer for Fairbanks Morse Inc., in Beloit, Wis. Later he worked for Bethlehem Steel, in Alameda, California. In 1949 he went to Saudi Arabia as a diesel engineer for the TransArabian Pipeline Co. he was there for 20 years.
He was a member of the Wickenburg Sportsmen’s Club and the Wickenburg Camera Club. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Sonora, Texas, and the Aahmes Shrine Temple in Oakland, California. He will be sadly missed by his friends.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; a daughter, Carolyn; his father, Lamar D. Crosthwait of San Antonio, Texas, and one brother, David M. Crosthwait of Tyler, Texas.
Burial was in the Muleshoe, Texas Cemetery.
