TAGHON, Gordon Lee

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, May 1, 2010 Gordon Lee Taghon, 42, died April 28, 2010, in Prescott Valley, Ariz. Gordon was born Feb. 10, 1968, in Linton, N.D., the son of Raymond and Linda (Zander) Taghon. Gordon loved hotrods; he did not belong to any particular car club. He did like to say that he was a part of "nondenominational conglomeration of car enthusiasts." He loved his dogs, who were "his boys," fishing and camping. Gordon put everyone before himself. Gordon was most proud of his wife and family. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Rhea Taghon of Prescott Valley; daughter Kyla A. Taghon of Prescott Valley; his father, Raymond Taghon of Prescott Valley; mother Linda Broan of Bemidji, Minn.; brothers Royce A. Taghon of Prescott Valley and Dean Zent of Indianapolis, Ind.; and sister Leah (Scott) Watson of Bismark, N.D. Survivors also include his large family: numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Gordon was preceded in death by his son Dylan in 2004. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 4, 2010, with a celebration of Gordon's life beginning at noon at the Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, 8480 E. Valley Road, Prescott Valley, corner of Valley and Navajo. You are invited to sign Gordon's online guestbook at www.ruffnerwakelin.com. In lieu of floral arrangements, green plants would be most appreciated. Monetary donations may be made in Gordon's memory to Rhea Taghon's account at Prescott Valley Wells Fargo to aid the family.
