LARUE, Virgil Grace

Virgil Grace LaRue, loving wife, Mother, & Grandmother, passed away peacefully May 6, 2003, at the age of 94. She was born Virgil Grace Sams on September 29, 1908, in Topeka, Kansas. Virgil moved to Phoenix from Topeka in 1942, along with her husband & children. She retired in 1973 from J.C. Penney's in downtown Phoenix, where she worked in the shoe depart-ment for almost twenty years. Virgil was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. LaRue. She is survived by sons, Henry Davis (Gail) of Phoenix, Edward Davis of Cottonwood, and daughters Donna Robertson (Robert Sr.) and Carol Sue Culver (James), both of Phoenix. She is also survived by grandchildren, Linda Schultz, Bradley Davis, Judy Hardaway, Robert Robertson, Jr., Cheryl Hadlock, Keith Sutton, Kevin Sutton, Kent Sutton, Denise LaRue, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Services will be at East Resthaven Park, 4310 E. Southern, Phx on Sat, May 10, 2003, 12pm with visitation 1 hr prior. Published in the Arizona Republic on 5/9/2003.
