YOST, Duane K.

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 09/24/2004 Duane K. Yost, 64, of Pahrump, Nevada, was called home to be with the Lord Sept. 18, 2004. He will be joining his parents, Ernest and Elsie Yost of Haxtun, Colorado in heaven. Mr. Yost was born Nov. 6, 1939 in Haxtun. He was baptized Nov. 26, 1939 and confirmed in 1953 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He attended school in Haxtun. His first marriage in 1958 was to Joyce Heisten. In 1965 he married Evelyn Deke. The couple moved to Springerville where he worked as a truck driver while raising three daughters. After his 25-year marriage to Evelyn, Duane then moved to Pahrump, Nevada where he spent the last 13 years with his longtime partner, Sandy Watts. He is survived by brother Dale Yost and wife Charlotte of Johnstown, Colorado; daughters, Tammy Kaber and husband Mike of Edgewood, New Mexico; Debbie Good of Apache Junction, Kerry Salazar and husband Paul of Tucson; as well as his most beautiful granddaughter Samantha Salazar. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Sophie. No services are planned.
