Goldie Mae Palmer, "Igg," 71, died Sept. 21, 2004 in Springerville.
She was born March 23, 1933 in Portland, Ore. She married Charles Clark Palmer Aug. 17, 1953 in San Francisco, California. They had two children.
Igg, as she was known to everyone, was employed at Valley Auto Parts for many years before her retirement. She also worked as the Town Clerk for the Town of Springerville, prior to that. She was a Beta Sigma Phi, a member of the Birthday Club and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Her survivors include daughter Charlene Becker; son Richard "Rick" W. Palmer, both of Springerville; sister Rosetta Francis Cochran, Dixon, Missouri, brother Orion David Ray Smith, Phoenix; five grandchildren Santana Jaramillo, Jason Jaramillo, Angie Nabity, Sheya Hamblin and Steven Becker; five great grandchildren Danner, Kimberly, Jarod, Shelby and Devlon; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles Palmer, granddaughter Brandi Kunkel and a sister Myrtle Ann Stir.
A Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Sept. 25 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Springerville.
Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary, Springerville, handled the arrangements.
