A. Theo Peterson, 81, passed away peacefully in his home September 28, 2004.
He was born November 6, 1922 in Lakeside Arizona to Hyrum and Anna Rogers Peterson. Theo graduated from Snowflake Union High School in 1941. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Imogene Flake on September 30, 1947 in the Manti Temple.
Theo has been a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various capacities. He worked as a carpenter at the Paper Mill for 24 years. He enjoyed farming and ranching, and was especially devoted to his family.
Theo is survived by his children and their spouses: Rusty and Nancy Peterson of Queen Creek, Grant and Stella Peterson of Ajo, Elynn and Bob Badger of St. Johns, Fred and Elise Peterson, Newell and Terri Peterson, Quince and Jody Peterson of Snowflake, Stacey and David Perkins of Central, Marvin, Deon and David Blaine, Jared and Amy Peterson of Snowflake, Evan and Zona Peterson of Mesa; one brother, Loran Dale Peterson of Snowflake; 55 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Imogene his wife of 55 years.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a viewing one hour prior. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday Oct. 3, at the James M. Flake home in Snowflake.
