Bertha Barton, a former Morristown resident, died on Sunday, August 25 in Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. She was 81.

Mrs. Barton was born on December 31, 1892 in Bourbon County, Kansas. She had been Assistant Superintendent of Bethany Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas and Superintendent of the School of Nursing at Methodist hospital in St. Joesph, Missouri.

Survivors include her husband, Earl. Of Morristown and a daughter, Glenna L. Gilbert of West Germany, two brothers; Robert Cissna of Toms River, New Jersey and Elton Cissna of Bronx, New York, two sisters; Mrs. Vera Huling of Ontario, Oregon and Edith Cooper of Portland, Oregon and three grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held for Mrs. Barton on Wednesday, August 28, at 2 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg.
