Jones, a Wickenburg resident for the past 17 years, passed away at the Fort Whipple Veterans Administration Hospital in Prescott on Sunday, August 25, at the age of 54. Mr. Jones was born in Georgetown, Texas on March 8, 1930 and was a member of the American Legion Kellis Draper Post 12 in Wickenburg. He is survived by three daughters; Kathryn D. Jones and Gloria Grubbs, both of Wickenburg and Gail Davis of California, five sisters: Mrs. Milburn Whitmore of Chester, Virginia, Mrs. Dorothy Smith of Ogden, Utah, Mrs. Marguerite Purcell of Tucson, Mrs. Geraldine Stevens and Mrs. Eleanor Bradley, both of Phoenix, and four grandchildren. Memorial Services by the American Legion were held at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 28, at the Wickenburg Funeral home. Graveside Services followed at 11:30 AM at the Wickenburg Cemetery.
