He was born November 25, 1916 at Kerby, Oregon; was a Navy veteran serving in the South pacific during World War II. He resided several years in Alaska and came to Arizona in 1967 where he and Mrs. Gran operated the Mecca Motel and Indian Store until 1972. Burial will be in Wickenburg. Survivors include his wife, Ethel, Morristown; his mother, Mrs. Nora Whitten, Cave Junction, Oregon; and four sisters, Mrs. Enid Rigel, Grants pass, Oregon; Mrs. Faye Doney, Davis, California; Mrs. Naomi Brownlee, Hayfork, California; and Mrs. Neola Wilkinson, Quartzsite, Arizona.
