He was born Aug. 9, 1935 in Pleasanton, Nebraska to Charles and Ethel Cool. Doyle proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955 through 1959. Afterwards he completed his Bachelor's Degree in Education.

Aside from his family and work, Doyle had many loves. His love for carpentry and woodworking helped him to build two houses by himself in both South Dakota and Overgaard. He loved his Golden Retriever Sandy who spent many hours by his side. He loved life and enjoyed his friends and fishing. He was a naturalist.
After retirement he did not settle down but game many hours of his time helping others, utilizing his many skills. Our dad was always there for his family and friends and those in need. We know that he will still be there for us. He was loved by all who knew him.
