Kimberly Richards, 33, died peacefully in her sleep at her home Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004.
Kim was born in Show Low and has lived all of her life in Snowflake except for the time she attended Apollo Business College in Mesa. She attended Snowflake Elementary School and graduated from Snowflake High School in 1989. She was always involved in school activities and was a Lobo Cheer Leader all four years.
She married Brian Richards of Holbrook March 15, 1990 in the Mesa Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They lived in Mesa while Brian attended ASU then moved to Snowflake where they have made their home. Kim enjoyed sports and being in the outdoors. She loved going camping in the mountains and boating on Lake Powell with her family. She loved being a wife and mother most of all.
Kim is survived by her husband, Brian; four sons, Dustin T., Colton N., Kaden B., and Kamron S.; two daughters, Kilee M. and Tycee M. all of Snowflake; her parents, Steve and Sharla Flake of Snowflake; two brothers, Bob S. (Pari) Flake of Snowflake and Kenneth Flake of Tempe; two sisters, Michelle (Brent) Johnston of Mesa and Lisa Flake of Mesa; her mother-in-law, Gayle Richards of Holbrook and her father-in-law, Edward L. "Chappy" Richards of Show Low.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 5 at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a visitation one hour prior to services at the church and from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4 at Owens Mortuary in Snowflake.
