Philip H. Petrell, age 76 of Hudson, formerly of Embarrass, Minnesota and Show Low, died early Thursday Sept. 30, 2004 in his residence.
Philip was born July 14, 1928 to Henry J. and Siiri (Levender) Petrell in Chicago, Illinois. He was in the Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict as a member of the Strategic Air Command. Philip married the former Donna Graham Nov. 2, 1963 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He was a member of the Show Low V.F.W. and American Legion. He was also an avid woodworker, gardener and outdoorsman who enjoyed traveling.
Philip is lovingly survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Janet (Daniel Welch) Petrell of Hudson, stepdaughters, Royann (Sylvain Alee) Petrell of Vancouver, British Columbia, Christine (James) Petrell-Kallevig of Cleveland, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Melanie (Petrell)Soloveski, Annette Petrell, David and Paul Kallevig and two great-stepgrand children. His sisters, Milma Naeseth of Madison, Wisconsin, Olivia Kissin of Spokane, Washington; brothers, Wilfred (Ursula) Petrell and Edgar Petrell all of Embarrass, Minnesota; also many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Graham; sisters, Ruth Petrell, Martha Kaupp, Helen McElderrly and a brother Roy.
A celebration of his life was held Saturday October 2, in the O'Connell Family Funeral Home, Hudson WI. 715-386-3725.
