Beth Carpenter Hannah Christensen, 83, died Oct. 3, 2004 in Mesa. She was born Oct. 5, 1921 in Safford.
Beth was a nurse and school secretary/nurse. She loved her church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and served a family history mission in Salt Lake City as well as many other callings within. She loved serving others. She was an avid gardener. Her family was most important to her. She liked poetry, quilting and other needle work, geneology, canning and many other things that rounded out who she was and what she believed in.
Her survivors include her husband Aris Max "Chris" Christensen, St. Johns; sons Jim Hannah, St. Johns, Mike Christensen, Alamagordo, NM, Mark Christensen, Irvins, Utah, Shaya Kayman, Prescott Valley; daughters Louise Gola, Bridgeport, W.V., Crystaleen Poynter, Calif., Lynnette Reed, Apache Jct., Lorie Cole, Phoenix, and Jeanne Christensen, St. Johns; sister Janice Foster, Mesa; 44 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Three grandchildren precede her in death.
Funeral Services will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, St. Johns Stake Center, St. Johns, Ariz. Saturday, Oct. 9,2004 at 11 a.m.
Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary, St. Johns is in charge of arrangements.
