Raymond P. Ballejos, St. Johns, died at Navapache Regional Medical Center, Show low, Oct. 5, 2004. Ray soon would have been 55 years old. He was born Oct. 16, 1949 in St. Johns.
He loved his family. And he loved baseball, fishing and dancing. Ray was employed at Stone Forest Industries for many years.
His survivors include his wife, Maxine Delores Ballejos, Show Low; sons Donovan Ray, and Nathan Anthony, both of Tempe; daughters Rosa Marie Jaramillo, St. Johns, Alexandrea Renee Ballejos, Show Low; mother Cecilia Peña; step-mother Armira Ballejos; brothers Ernest, Tacoma, Wash., Pat, Orem, Utah, Anthony, St. Johns, Victor, St. Johns, Ancelmo, St. Johns, Robert, St. Johns, Louie, San Antonio, Texas, Stanley, St. Johns, Matthew, St. Johns and Eric, St. Johns; sisters Virgina, Bettendorf, Iowa, Dolores, St. Johns, Frances, Phoenix, Sandra, Las Vegas, Nev., Christina, La Clair, Iowa, Martha, Lake Havasu City, and Eloise, St. Johns; three grandchildren Kayla Jaramillo, Doloris Jaramillo and Brianne Campbell.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents Manuel and Benina Peña and Louis and Isidra Ballejos; his father Longie H. Ballejos and one grandchild, Marc Anthony Ray Campbell.
There will be a Rosary at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 as well as an all night vigil at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. Johns. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at the same on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m.
