The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 10/15/2004 David Neal Bonifasi Beloved father, died suddenly Oct. 7, 2004 at the age of 47. David was born Nov. 16, 1956. in Palo Alto, California, lived in Scottsdale where he attended Chaparral High School, and spent his childhood summers in Guatemala. He recently made his home in Lakeside. Always laughing and joking around, he was a true child at heart. Dave made an impact on everyone he encountered. He would find a way to make light of all situations. Not only was he always there for his children, Dave was eager to help anyone in need. A lover of the mountains, he enjoyed the stars, and anything outdoors. He is survived by his four children; Jerome of Lakeside, Melissa of Phoenix, Dianna (Marcus) Rogers of Surprise, Raquel of Scottsdale; mother Shirley Bonifasi of Pinetop and Scottsdale; and brothers Charles (Paula) of Carefree, Richard (Carla) of Scottsdale; and sisters, Carmela of New River, Gloria Bonifasi Romeiro of Scottsdale. He had twelve nieces and nephews. Known as "Pappa" to his grandson, James, he was preceded in death by his father Rudy Bonifasi, Honorary Council of Guatemala. A celebration of David's life will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. at Woodland Lake Park in Pinetop. He will be greatly missed.
