The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 10/22/2004 Charles Gilbert "Jake" Cavey III, 45, died Oct. 13, 2004 in Baltimore, Maryland. Jake was a local resident of the White Mountains for several years, working as a reporter for the White Mountain Independent and as a respiratory technician at Navapache Regional Medical Center and White Mountain Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his children Shane Teagan Stewart Cavey (Northern California), Derrick Thomas Stewart Cavey (Gilbert), Rachel Lauren Cavey (U.S.S. Nimitz, San Diego, California), Miles Cornell Stewart Cavey (Columbia, Maine), Hannaleigh Cavey (Lakeside), his mother, Catherine Ann Cavey, his brother, Michael Ladd Cavey; and his sister, Laura Baker. He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Stewart Cavey and his father Charles Gilbert Cavey, Jr. Interment will be in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
